Summer Blush Wedding Inspiration

This bridal inspiration feature comes with a little extra love from myself, Stephanie.  Along the journey of building Dear Gray Magazine, I have had the humbling opportunity to speak at workshops with photographers from around the world.  Each time I head up on “stage” to speak, my heart is on my sleeve and I speak from a place of intention for wedding business success.  Building a presentation that shares the mission of Dear Gray while also mentoring came with great challenges but has proven to be quite rewarding.  As a publisher, I want to serve the wedding industry with advice and direction that will re-direct artist’s minds off the beaten path of posting beautiful imagery and hoping for the ideal client to come knocking.

During my two-hour presentation, we work through facets of wedding business success like styled shoots, portfolio presentation, marketing, and web design that actually creates backend SEO success.  Insert Kandi Daniel Studios as one of the most dedicated workshop attendees that I have had the pleasure of working with!  Kandi and I met during her time at the Better Together, Savannah workshop and at that time I had no idea that she would take what I said and really inject it into her business model and further show me how it has helped to improve her Google ranking!   Kandi adjusted her thought process into reaching for success through freedom, not money.

I am, absolutely, thrilled to see how far Kandi has come as an artist and business woman in such a short period of time.  She exemplifies what it means to take valuable information and make it work.  Artists can attend workshops and make a choice to leave with beautiful imagery, new friendships, and a fresh perspective but the real results come from taking what has been learned and putting it into action.  Kandi has done just that!

This bridal inspiration is more than just a beautiful wedding design, it is the creative collaboration of talented wedding vendors captured by Kandi while wearing an extra business owner “hat” while working.  She worked intentionally and the results go well beyond stunning imagery that she can now market to her ideal client.  There is so much admiration for her as a beautiful business woman and wedding photographer.  Congratulations on taking the next steps, Kandi!  We at Dear Gray Magazine are forever thankful for your support of our brand.

From Melissa Schmidt at eMbee

The design behind this photoshoot is to demonstrate how couples (and vendors) can create a sophisticated, luxury wedding aesthetic with a single-color palette: shades of blush. Summerour’s European feel and natural, neutral backdrop will allow us all to showcase gradients of pink throughout the design – from florals to place settings, invitations to cake – against a set of dark wood, ivory, and gold. While blush pink lends a naturally airy, light, “springy” aesthetic that is often considered consummately feminine, this shoot contained curated and styled details, including modern shapes, that would make any groom feel right at home.

More from eMbee

We wanted this shoot to convey the peaceful, contented excitement a couple feels when they’re truly in love. As we’re designing and photographing, keeping in our hearts a couple who honors the softer elements in themselves and in their relationship: gentleness, patience, forgiveness, peace, deep loyalty, and the easy silence of soul mates.
