It’s challenging to pick our most loved detail in this bridal boudoir shoot by Kate Afinison and her team. The soft blue hues that can be found flowing from a vintage chair into the background walls sets a feminine, romantic tone and we are in awe over every image in this gallery. Kate Afinison is specialized in fine art photography, using medium format film as her choice for documenting real life stories. Whether she is hired as a historian to her client’s wedding day or documenting an editorial, Kate maintains her passion for photography and all that the craft entails.
With a handful of designers and artists, this team put together an inspiration bridal boudoir shoot with the intention of showing viewers and potential clients that boudoir can be a classy, clean, and fun experience. With minimal tangible details, we can still feel the balance between focusing on well thought romantic details while peeking into the model’s individual details; curls upon her shoulders and a tattoo with symbolic references. These are all aspects that make Haylea the beautiful woman that she is. This type of fine art photography would make for a pleasing wedding day gift from a bride to her future husband.

Meet Kate Afinison
When I’m not photographing weddings, I’m wife to Owen (a geology professor at Sonoma State University) and mama to Carsten and Amelia (three and one, respectively). In my spare time I love exploring outdoors, hunting through antique stores for old ring boxes, and sipping on iced chai lattes.
I’m so grateful for all the wonderful people I’ve been able to connect with through my work, and I’m excited to see where this journey continues to take me. It would be an honor to play a part in making this special time in your life a joyful experience.
