An Oasis In The Desert Of Southern Idaho
It has always been such a pleasure to work with Brie Thomason Photography, whether in an issue of Dear Gray Magazine or through an online feature like this gorgeous bridal editorial where Brie shot a stylized botanical garden wedding. Who knew that nestled in Idaho, there was such soft beauty and character in a venue location such as the Idaho Botanical Garden? When little gems like this around found, an artist like Brie knows it is the perfect backdrop to an inspiration for her brides.
Brie began her inspirational board with the pale blue hue that can be found painted on a door located on the garden’s property. From there she chose a blush wedding dress combination from Martina Liana (top) and Sottero by Midgely (bottom) to offset the blue hue and the purples found in the garden florals. Brie also added in a gorgeous wedding bouquet designed by Flora + Fern Design Co. that welcomed hints of blush and purple, creating a scene for this sophisticated botanical garden wedding.
From Brie Thomason Photography
The Idaho Botanical Gardens are an oasis in the desert of southern Idaho. The exterior walls are actually the old penitentiary building. On one side of the building there is a random pastel blue door in the middle of the wall. That door has always spoke to me. I used the door as the inspiration for the colors, but used the gardens to soften the feel of the shoot. The dress is a soft blush to go with the pastel blue wall and lavenders.
