The Secret Beauty Of The Sea

Wedding Photography by Betsy Blue Photography

On the coast of Oregon you can find nature’s finest of details wrapped around enormous rocks in organic palettes that have been painted by the ever shifting sea.  Used as the backdrop for this workshop, we envision a bride with a heart for couture design.

Betsy Blue Photography attended the Donny Zavala Workshop where emotive colors were weaved throughout this bridal inspiration with a wedding dress by Claire La Faye as the center point of attention.  Captured on film, Betsy shares the art and beauty that can be found in wedding styling, despite the shifting patterns of unpredictable weather.  We are drawn into the nature inspired elements like this hand dyed silk ribbon from Tono and Co. and wedding florals from Selva Floral.  Donny’s workshops have been and continue to be a unique experience that offers wedding photographers like Betsy Tomasello the opportunity to capture bridal styling with couture designed elements.

From Betsy Blue Photography

This luminous mermaid of a bride was magical to photograph. Her skin was glowing & porcelain, her woven copper locks looked only brighter as the sea spray and rains came, and the more textured her gown with froth and sand, the more refined she appeared before my eyes. What a treasure of a bride on such a stormy day. Her demeanor never dampened, despite the weather or tide, and we left the beach feeling changed by it all…

My soul is full of longing
for the secret of the sea,
and the heart of the great ocean
sends a thrilling pulse through me.

Oh my! These are gorgeous. I really like how her hair contrasts with the dark shadows the rocks make. All in all a fantastic shoot.
